Surge Capacity Built for Growing Production Volume
Based in Lockport, Louisiana, Valentine Chemicals can react, dry, blend, and package under one roof on continuous 24/7/365 operations. With drying capacity exceeding 250,000 liquid pounds per day and 12,000 gallons of reactor volume, we have room to absorb growth when your demand rises.
When you choose where a product gets manufactured, you're deciding for more than the volume you need today. Demand grows, a new contract lands, a season peaks, or a product performs better than the forecast allowed for, and the plant you picked either has room or it doesn't.
We have that room, and it comes from the way the facility is equipped and operated.
Continuous Operations
We run 24/7/365. A plant already operating around the clock doesn't have to open a shift or reschedule a line to take on additional volume.
How We Make Surge Capacity Possible
Storage and Feed Headroom
Inbound feed needs somewhere to sit before a slot opens, and finished product needs somewhere to go afterwards. We hold 50-plus bulk truckloads of liquid storage in stainless steel tanks, with agitation available and heated storage for temperature-sensitive materials, alongside 80,000 square feet of warehousing that includes 5,000 square feet of climate-controlled space. Parallel Equipment Trains
We operate more than one unit in every process we run: two production spray dryers; five double-drum, chrome-plated drum dryers; four 3,000-gallon stainless steel reactors totalling 12,000 gallons, with a practical batch maximum of roughly 8,000 to 10,000 gallons; two additional jacketed tanks of 10,000 and 13,000 gallons available for applicable projects; and multiple hammer mills with mesh-controlled grinding. Because no single unit is the whole capability, added volume doesn't have to displace work already on the schedule.
One Site, End to End
We react, dry, blend, and package on a single 10-acre campus. More volume doesn't mean more handoffs, because material isn't moving between a reaction vendor, a drying vendor, and a packaging vendor while your schedule tightens. A truck dock on site handles inbound and outbound freight, transloaders sit within a few miles for rail-originating shipments, and barge access is available.
One Partner as Your Volume Grows
A partner already running close to its ceiling means you may eventually be asking whether they can raise output, sometimes against time pressure of your own, or looking for a second manufacturer to take the difference.
Qualifying a second manufacturer is real work: a new confidentiality agreement, specification sign-off, sample approval, an internal QA audit, and where your end product is specified to a source, telling your own customer that it has changed. It also means your formulation sits with one more organisation than it did before.
None of that repeats when volume grows at a facility already making your product, to the same specification, on equipment that has already run it, under an agreement you already have.
Growing Volume Does Not Change Quality Control
In-process checks at Valentine run at minimum every hour during production, covering moisture, visual appearance, viscosity, and bulk density as applicable. That interval is set by the process, not by how much of it we happen to be running.
Our QC labs sit adjacent to production, so sampling and testing don't require shipping material off site or scheduling around an outside laboratory. We issue a Certificate of Analysis on every production run, reported against your specification. Specifications are yours to set and ours to report against.
